Jodie was not only one of Betty's idols of the publishing world, she also ended up being the teacher of Betty's YETI class. Betty hoped to get Jodie to be her mentor, but she soon realized that it was going to be more difficult than she had hoped for her to get on Jodie's good side. Betty was able to impress Jodie by getting herself invited into one of Wilhelmina's parties, which are usually off-limits to mere editorial assistants. However, Jodie soon proved her own ruthless nature, stealing Betty's dream job at the end of mentoring her.
